Welcome to C-band R&D Communication Page

Hi, we are T. Shintake of RIKEN Harima Institute at SPring-8 and H. Matsumoto of KEK. Here we wish to communicate with people who are interested in high-gradient electron beam accelerator based on  C-band (5712MHz) radio frequency technology.

We hope you will find something usefull in this page.

The mission, first-priority, is to develop C-band accelerator techonology for the 500 GeV e+e- Linear Collider project. Hardware R&D on C-band RF system has been carried out at KEK Tsukuba Japan.

SCSS: SPring-8 Compact SASE Source is a soft X-ray FEL project, which is under construction at SPring-8 as a multilaboratory collaboration. 1 GeV C-band accelerator will be built as the electron beam driver. SCSS project aims to generate 10 nm VUV radiation in the year of 2003 and 3 nm radiation before 2005.

Real-time radiation simulator for Windows. To download, click left image and fill your information for the future announce. It is just single executable file: Radiation2D.exe. To run, double click. Grab the center electron, and try to move it. You will see radiation. Chose circle trajectory from Setup Menu, you will see synchrotron radiation. Note: This is still beta version, there are buggs, sorry.Linux and Mac version are also available!!

25/Jul/2003 The Radiation2D Ver. 2.0 for Windows was released.
